The Awards Committee shall consist of four members-at-large, the President-Elect, and the Immediate Past Chair. Each year the President appoints a member-at-large to serve a four-year term. In the third year of this four year term, the member-at-large serves as the Vice-Chair of the Committee. In the fourth year, the member-at-large serves as the Chair of the Committee.
The Awards Committee solicits and reviews applications, and selects recipients for the Association for Surgical Education teaching, innovation, and scholarly awards. The Awards Committee oversees the Fellows of the ASE program and coordinates the presentation of the Education and Fellow awards during the ASE Awards Banquet at Surgical Education Week.
There is 1 member-at-large position available this year.
Eligibility Criteria for These Positions:
- Physician and Non-Physician members in good standing are eligible to apply. Members still in training are not eligible to apply for these positions.
- Members may nominate themselves or other members.
- Applicants will be considered based on their service to the ASE/ASE Foundation, contributions to the field of surgical education, and leadership capacity.
Nominations close on Friday, November 21, 2025 at 11:59PM Pacific Time.
