2026 Program Committee Nominations

Complete the form below to nominate a worthy candidate or yourself to serve on the Association for Surgical Education Program Committee.

Each year, the President appoints a member-at-large to serve a four-year term.  In the third year of this four year term, the member-at-large serves as the Vice-Chair of the Program Committee. In the fourth year, the member serves as the Chair of the Program Committee.

The Program Committee, with staff and administrative support, and in collaboration with the APDS, is responsible for the ASE Annual Meeting at Surgical Education Week. The Committee determines the educational program, reviews and ranks all abstracts and workshops, and participates in the planning of ancillary activities and social events.

Eligibility Criteria for This Position:

  • Physician and Non-Physician members in good standing are eligible to apply. Members still in training are not eligible to apply for these positions.
  • Members may nominate themselves or other members.
  • Applicants will be considered based on their service to the ASE/ASE Foundation, contributions to the field of surgical education, and leadership capacity.
  • Applicants, if appointed to the Program Committee, must disclose all relevant financial relationships with commercial interests, particularly ineligible companies. This policy aims to ensure that educational content is free from commercial bias and serves the needs of patients. According to the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) criteria, an ineligible company is any entity that produces, markets, sells, or distributes healthcare goods or services consumed by or used on patients. If a conflict of interest is disclosed, the ASE and the CME provider will take steps to mitigate or resolve the potential for bias.

Nominations close on Friday, November 21, 2025 at 11:59PM Pacific Time.

Note: If nominating a candidate, both the nominator and candidate will receive a copy of the nomination submission.

The nomination process has concluded.
