Visiting Scholar Fellowship Application

We are pleased to announce a call for applications for the 2023 ASE Visiting Scholar Fellowship. The ASE Visiting Scholar Fellowship, which is sponsored by the ASE Simulation Committee, offers ASE members in good standing the opportunity to visit other surgical training programs in the United States who have demonstrated excellence in promoting surgical education. This fellowship consists of a travel grant up to $2500. Fellowship recipients will work to foster communication, knowledge-sharing, and collaboration amongst ASE members from different institutions. The ultimate goal of the collaboration will be to advance surgical education initiatives, identify opportunities for joint ventures and research, and share new ideas and concepts across the ASE membership. The winner is formally announced at the ASE Annual Meeting Awards Ceremony and must complete their travel within the calendar year prior to the subsequent meeting. Upon completion of travel, the awardee is expected to present a report on the outcome and future directions of their experience to the Board of Directors of the ASE.

The application process is currently closed for this fellowship.
